Divisibility Rule of 4 :
A natural number is divisible by 4, if the number formed by its digits in units and tens places is divisible by 4.
Justification:
Consider a three digit number abc.
We have,
= 100a + 10b + c
= 100a + (10b + c )
= 100a +
= ( 4
25a ) +
= a multiple of 4 +
is divisible by 4, if
i.e. the number formed by digits in units and tens places is divisible by 4.
